Gas Refill & Leak Testing
Refrigerant doesn’t get “used up”. If your unit needs gas, it has a leak — and a top-up without finding it is rent, not repair.
How we handle a low-gas unit
First we confirm the diagnosis: suction pressure, coil temperature and compressor current tell us whether it’s genuinely low refrigerant or a different fault dressed up as one. Then we pressure-test with nitrogen to locate the leak — usually a flare joint, a corroded coil bend, or piping chafed where it exits the wall. Only after the leak is repaired do we vacuum the system and weigh in fresh R32 or R410A to the plate specification.
Why the shortcut costs more
A RM120 “top-up special” that ignores the leak lasts three to six months, then you pay again — and every month of low charge makes the compressor run hot, shortening its life. Done our way, the fix holds and the compressor is protected. It’s a bigger bill once instead of a small bill forever.
What’s included
- Pressure and temperature diagnosis with readings shown to you
- Nitrogen holding test to pinpoint the leak location
- Flare re-making, joint brazing or piping section replacement as needed
- Vacuum evacuation and weighed refrigerant charge
- Post-charge cooling test with supply-air temperature verified
