Troubleshooting & Parts Replacement
Every fault has a cause, and most are cheaper to fix than to replace the unit. We diagnose first, quote second, and only then pick up a tool.
Faults we fix weekly
- Timer light blinking — error codes read and traced, commonly fan motors, sensors or PCB faults
- Breaker trips when the compressor kicks in — usually a failing capacitor or shorted compressor winding; we test which before quoting
- Water dripping from the indoor unit — blocked drainage, lost pipe gradient, or ice melting off a starved coil
- Unit turns on but never cools — refrigerant, airflow or compressor; the gauges settle the argument
- Remote or PCB dead after a storm — surge-damaged boards replaced with genuine or OEM-equivalent parts
- Loud rattling or humming outdoors — fan blade balance, motor bearings or loose panels
Genuine parts, documented
Capacitors, fan motors, sensors, PCBs and compressors come from authorised distributors, and each part is itemised on the invoice with its own warranty period. If a part is end-of-life for your model, we tell you the options — including the honest one, when repair no longer makes financial sense against a new unit installed.
The inspection fee that pays you back
The RM80 diagnosis fee covers the technician’s visit and fault report. Proceed with the repair through us and the RM80 comes off the bill — so a proper diagnosis costs you nothing.
Good to know
Most repairs are completed the same visit — our vans carry common capacitors, sensors and fan motors for the major brands.
PCB and compressor jobs may need a parts order; typical turnaround is 2–4 working days.
